This fun wildflower pilgrimage takes place along the Kendall Trail in the Youghiogheny Wild and Scenic River Corridor. This walk will be fun for all ages and the pace is mellow. If you like photography you will have plenty of scenic subjects to capture, from river scenes, to flowers, to lichens, mosses etc. Phone camera users are welcome.
What you might see?
Lady Slipper Orchids
Jack in-the Pulpit
Beautiful river and water subjects
You don't need any experience and we will have fun looking for the fleeting ephemeral flowers. Crede is also very well versed in the local history so you can learn about the colorful history of Garrett County's oldest settlement. We will of course also be looking for birds, frogs and specifically warblers on spring migration and water birds like green herons, bald eagles, osprey, kingfishers and mergansers etc.
