Wild Mushroom Walk

Garrett county has many wild, beautiful, and scenic areas. The diversity of flora, fauna, funga and their ecosystems are special in their own unique way. Fungi has their very own special place within our environment and we have the opportunity to discover all of the great benefits they offer the environment they thrive in and the health benefits the offer us! We will be taking time on this journey to see what mushrooms we can find and collect, learn about edible species and their toxic and potentially deadly look-a-likes, and we will discover what mushrooms are best suited for the dinner table and the nutritional value they provide for our health!
