Make and Take with Mosaics at the Lake, Air Plant Holder

During this 3 hour session, you will design and create your own mosaic air plant holder, suitable for hanging on your wall. Choose your own colors from a variety of tiles supplied by the instructor. You can create a similar design to the sample, or come up with your own design.

Note that this plant holder is designed for dry use, such as with air plants mainly, and is not suitable for holding wet soil in the cup. Some very low water succulents may be used but no guarantees of mosaic longevity will be implied.

All supplies will be included in workshop, including an 8”x 8” gesso wood board, an array of cut in half cups, glass tiles, tools, safety goggles, glue, and grout kit.

Grouting will need to be done next day so as to allow the glue to fully dry overnight. After you grout, you will then adhere your cup on top of your mosaic with silicone glue. (Not supplied)

You will grout your mosaic using the supplied grout kit, make sure to select which color grout you’d like with your take home kit. Directions/demo for grouting will be provided.

Class is open to participants age 14 and up.
