Garrett County 150th - County Celebration

Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Garrett County! All are welcome on Saturday, September 17 from 10 am - 6 pm at the Garrett County Fairgrounds in McHenry for music, history walk, food, car show, artwork displays & more.

Plus, collect a commemorative bronze coin for each of the municipalities: Accident, Deer Park, Friendsville, Grantsville, Kitzmiller, Loch Lynn, Mountain Lake Park, Oakland. Each of those eight towns participated in designing a custom side of the coin to represent their town paired with the front-side of the coin featuring the county’s namesake John W. Garrett. Coins will be distributed on September 17th while supplies last
