Business Before Hours - Economic Forecast 2020

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the next Business Before Hours on January 21, 2020 will feature an Economic Forecast by Dr. Daraius Irani, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research at Towson University.  The event will be 8 am – 9:30 am in the Crawford Room at Wisp Resort.
 
Dr. Irani serves as chief economist for the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) at Towson University where he manages and serves as lead economist on over 250 research and analysis projects. In his work at Towson, he has also produced over 100 economic and fiscal impact statements for a diverse portfolio of clients. Dr. Irani has appeared on CNN, the Marc Steiner show, WYPR’s Midday and Maryland Public Television’s Business Connection. He earned his B.A. in economics at University of California, San Diego, his M.A in business economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and a Ph.D. in economics from University of California, Santa Barbara.
