QuickBooks Payroll

Garrett College?s Continuing Education and Workforce Development division has scheduled a hands-on course on QuickBooks Payroll. The course will be held on Thursdays, May 14 and 21, from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at the Northern Outreach Center in Grantsville. This course is designed for students who perform payroll duties in an office environment. Topics include setting up payroll items utilizing QuickBooks software, learning when to file Federal and State payroll and unemployment forms, and creating 1099s and W-2s and associated year-end required mailings and returns. The course is being instructed by Sarah J Wilt, who is a Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a Licensed Tax Preparer with her own firm in Grantsville for the last 10 years. She has worked in the accounting field for 17 years and consults with new and seasoned business owners with business plans, marketing plans, cash flow issues and general needs. She continues to expand her services for the small business in Garrett County.
