Oakland Bypass Public Meeting

Oakland Bypass Public Meeting

Mountain Lake Park Mayor and Town Council will be hosting the Maryland Department of Transportation and State Highway Administration representatives who will be sharing the most recent information on the proposed Oakland Bypass, or Ninth Street Extended (truck route). The public meeting will provide Mountain Lake Park elected officials and citizens an opportunity to gather information and ask questions of the state agencies who are responsible for executing the project.

Last Fall, the proposed bypass was elevated to a number-one priority which has raised questions with area residents wanting to understand why. The SHA has also stated they are looking for ways to reduce the 2006 estimated cost of $53 million for the project.

Do you have questions about the Oakland Bypass? Join Mountain Lake Park elected officials and residents for this important meeting. All county residents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bypass interest is not limited to town residents living adjacent to its path. Can't attend in person? Watch live on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp2Fxww71awg9LcI7cfIjOg/live
