Meet Mystery Writer Lauren Carr

Join us for a visit with mystery writer Lauren Carr on Thursday, September 29, sponsored by the Friends of the Ruth Enlow Library. The author of the Joshua Thornton Mysteries and two recent books set at Deep Creek Lake—It’s Murder My Son and Old Loves Die Hard—Carr is a popular speaker who presented a program last year for the library.

Carr will visit Accident, Grantsville, and Oakland Libraries according to the following schedule on September 29:
Noon – reading, Q&A, and book signing at the Grantsville Library. Attendees may bring a brown bag lunch.
3 p.m. – reading, Q&A, and book signing at the Accident Library
6 p.m. – a presentation about the importance of research in writing mysteries, reading, Q&A, and book signing at the Oakland Library

Carr lives with her husband, son, and two dogs on a mountain in Harpers Ferry, WV, and often vacations at Deep Creek Lake. More information about the author and her work is available at http://laurencarr.webs.com.

This event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served at the Oakland presentation. Registration is not required but a courtesy call to the library is appreciated at 301-334-3996, ext. 117, or email bonnie@relib.net.
