First Annual Oakland Rotary Charity Golf Tournament

The Oakland Rotary will be hosting its first annual charity golf tournament to raise monies to give back to the community. Over the years, the Rotary has given thousands of dollars in scholarships for Garrett County; MD high school graduates; the Christmas Project provides toys and food certificates to county families; funds have been given to the Garrett College Foundation to provide support not covered by normal budgets; the club built and maintains the Rotary Park in Oakland.

Purpose: To raise money to support the Garrett County, MD Community.

When: 11 am to 5 pm (12:30pm shotgun start); 12 September 2014

Where: Oakland Golf Club

What: 18 Hole Captain's Choice/Scramble, preceded by lunch, putting contest, 50-50, Silent Auction.

Cost: $75 per person

Prizes: Tournament will be handicapped and prizes will be awarded for:
-- 1st place Lowest team gross;
-- 1st ans 2nd place lowest team net scores
-- 2015 Equinox for the first hole-in-one par 3 No. 9
-- closest to the pin on several of the par 3's
-- putting contest (win an Odyussey putter)
-- powerballs (1/person), 50-50 at an extra cost

Note -- If you do not have a foursome, no worry, sign up and we will put you on a team. We want as many golfers as possible.

EAGLE LEVEL: $1,000+ - You will be acknowleded at the tournamnet as a major donor, underwriting our lunch or prizes. You may enter a team of 4 players. A sign with your company name will be placed at one of the tee boxes.

BIRDIE LEVEL: $500+ You will be acknowledged at the tournamnet, assisting to underwrite the lunch or prizes. You may enter one player. A sign with your company name will be placed at one of the tee boxes.

PAR LEVEL: $50+ You will be acknowledged at the tournamnet and sign with your company name will be placed at one of the tee boxes.
