Computer Skills Course

Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development has scheduled a hands-on computer course at the College's Career Technology Training Center in Accident, Computers: Getting to Know Them: Part I. The class will be held Tuesdays, March 15 to 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This course is designed for the computer novice. Topics include: desktop functions such as cursor, pull-down menus, taskbar, creating folders and storing files, mouse techniques, and launching applications. The course is being instructed by Teresa Walters. She has a bachelor of science degree in information technology and has been teaching for Garrett College since 2001. She loves introducing computers to students as well as keeping current with new technological trends.
