Buy, Sell and Profit from Online Auctions

Garrett College?s Continuing Education and Workforce Development division has scheduled a hands-on computer course: Buy, Sell and Profit from Online Auctions, at the Northern Outreach Center in Grantsville. The course will be held on May 11 and 18 from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. This course will help students take advantage of online auctions as a buyer or seller. They will discover why it is so easy to find buyers, what sells, insider tips for making listings generate more bids at higher prices, and mistakes people make when buying and selling online and how to avoid them. Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to: describe both the buyer and seller perspective, estimate various markets for buying and selling, discuss the concepts of customer service: incentives, follow-up, feedback, use techniques to avoid common sales-related buying and selling pitfalls and discuss internet safety and use tips to prevent internet fraud.
